At the Matthäus flea market we had a few discarded objects that we wanted to pass on. And for the visitors we had beer and candy floss on offer. Many thanks to the residents of Oetlingerstrasse 146 and Elch Records for letting us spend this beautiful afternoon on your premises!

We have been busy advertising the Leihlager and have been out and about on the Rhine with flyers, stickers and lots of beer. There were also a few water pistols, which were borrowed by some of the children. It was wonderful to come into contact with so many people!

This workshop was the first that we opened to the public. In addition to our participating volonteers, who can of course use the know-how to advise our lenders, there were also borrowers and curious passers-by. Jessi, also a Leihlager volonteer, showed the participants the basics of bike maintenance: changing inner tubes and tyres, adjusting brakes, changing gears, etc.
Afterwards, everyone was able to put what they had learned into practice on their own bikes. Even spokes were replaced and wheels centred.

For the first time in 14 years, soapboxes raced down the Gemsberg. The many children who skilfully steered their soapboxes down the hill delighted the audience. In addition to the fact that we were allowed to take part ourselves, we had a stand with delicious lemon sorbet and apple-cinnamon glacé. Many thanks to the Junioratelier for organising and making this possible!

We were on the HGK campus as part of the Wechsel.Wirkung festival, equipped with scrap metal sponsored by Lottner AG. The visitors as well as our Leihlager volonteers were able to try their hand at metalworking with the numerous metal tools. Especially the first welding tests were a highlight.

It was already our second participation in the Draisine derby on the Gleisbogen Dreispitz – and again it was a lot of fun! Like last year, we provided our tools to the Draisine builders in the days before, built our own and took care of the physical well-being with hot dogs (vegetarian or meat).
On the day of the race itself, we ran an ice cream and candy floss stand and rode our draisine, which had a “winding drive”, to victory in the speed discipline! Woop woop! Many thanks to the Draisine derby!
